PHOENIX – Today, Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ-03) announced her “Accountability Summer” town hall tour – a sweep through Arizona’s First, Second, Third, and Sixth Congressional Districts to speak directly to Arizonans about Trump and Republicans’ disastrous budget bill, and the direct effects it will have on their lives. Ansari is hosting events in Congressman Schweikert, Crane, and Ciscomani’s Districts. All three expressed displeasure with the final bill before folding and voting yes.
“Every single Arizona Republican voted yes on Trump’s so-called Big Beautiful Bill,” said Ansari. “This budget law will cut healthcare and increase premiums, slash food assistance for hungry kids, kill jobs, and increase the deficit, all to give a tax break to Trump and his billionaire buddies. I’m coming to your district to hear from you on this bill, and about how your Republican representatives have failed you.”
