As part of the campaign’s “Advancing Housing Policy in Phoenix” tour, Councilwoman Ansari released her federal housing policy plan and toured affordable housing in AZ-03

PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix City Councilwoman Yassamin Ansari released her federal housing plan as part of her “Advancing Housing Policy in Phoenix” tour for her campaign for Congress.

The tour was held at three affordable housing developments across Arizona’s Third Congressional District. The “Advancing Housing Policy in Phoenix” tour provided a platform for community leaders, housing experts, and stakeholders to discuss strategies for addressing homelessness, expanding affordable housing options, and leveraging federal resources to help solve the housing crisis in AZ-03.

During the event, Councilwoman Ansari released her federal housing plan, highlighting that leadership and resources at the federal level are key to alleviating homelessness, incentivizing affordable housing development, and providing local leaders with the tools to address their communities’ housing needs.

The tour featured three stops at affordable housing development, including Harmony at the Park II, Game Day Real Estate, and Salt River Flats. Participants had the opportunity to learn about innovative housing initiatives and discuss federal policy solutions.

“We’re excited to showcase the incredible work being done in our community to address the housing crisis,” Councilwoman Ansari said, “We can expand options for affordable housing and build a more equitable and inclusive Phoenix.”

We won!

It’s hard to put my feelings into words. I’m elated, of course — but more than that, I’m honored, I’m inspired, and I’m deeply grateful.

This historic victory belongs to all of us. It belongs to everyone in our Phoenix and Glendale community who believed in a progressive future and went to work for it.

This victory is the product of more than 165,000 doors knocked in the pouring rain and the blistering heat. It’s the result of over 25,000 phone calls, and nearly $2 million contributed by folks from every walk of life.

We won this primary election without a dime of corporate PAC money. We ran a campaign on progressive policies and real results. And we’re just getting started.

Now, we turn our attention to November. Turning out the vote here in Maricopa County is on the critical path to victory — and we’ve got our work cut out. Can I count on you to join us in this next chapter?
