Mayor Kate Gallego Endorses Yassamin Ansari for Congress

PHOENIX, AZ – Today, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego announced her support for former Phoenix Vice Mayor and City Councilwoman Yassamin Ansari in the race for Arizona’s Third Congressional District. 

Mayor Gallego issued the following statement: 

“I am proud to endorse Yassamin Ansari as our next Representative in Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District. From her time on the city council, I saw firsthand Yassamin’s strong work ethic and her commitment to ensuring everyone had a seat at the table. I know Yassamin will continue her fight to protect our environment and put middle class families first – and that’s exactly the type of leader our district needs.” 

Yassamin Ansari issued the following statement:

“I was lucky enough to work with Mayor Gallego during my time as Vice Mayor and City Councilwoman, on issues ranging from climate change and heat relief to economic development. That’s why I’m so proud to have earned her endorsement and her trust that I will deliver for the people of Phoenix in Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District.”
