In Arizona’s Third Congressional District, Councilwoman Yassamin Ansari Announces That Her Campaign Raised Over $1 Million After Leading In Fundraising in 2023
PHOENIX, AZ — Today, Phoenix City Councilwoman Yassamin Ansari announced her campaign has raised over $1 million in her bid for Arizona’s Third Congressional District. After raising over $300,000 in the 4th quarter of 2023, Ansari continues to lead the race in fundraising since announcing her campaign.
Councilwoman Yassamin Ansari, issued the following statement:
“I continue to be taken aback by the outpouring of support for our campaign. With the support of so many of our neighbors here in Arizona’s Third Congressional District, I can’t wait to continue to work on your behalf in Washington – just as we’ve done here in Phoenix.”
As the youngest woman ever elected to the Phoenix City Council, representing one of the most diverse districts in the fifth-largest and fastest growing city in the country, Councilwoman Ansari is backed by an impressive grassroots support, recently endorsed by the International Association of Firefighters, Senator Flavio Bravo, Senator Eva Diaz, Representative Stacey Travers, Phoenix City Councilmember Kevin Robinson, and Tolleson Councilmember and former Mayor Adolfo Gamez. If elected, Councilwoman Ansari would be the first Iranian-American Democrat in Congress.
