Phoenix Vice Mayor Yassamin Ansari Raises Over $762k Since Launching Campaign in April

[Phoenix, October 17, 2023] – Phoenix Vice Mayor Yassamin Ansari has raised over $762,000 since the launch of her Congressional campaign on April 4th, 2023, all without taking a cent from Corporate PACs. Coming off of a historic second-quarter fundraising haul, Vice Mayor Ansari raised over a quarter of a million dollars ($252k) in the third quarter. Collectively, nearly 1,900 supporters have invested in the Vice Mayor’s congressional campaign. The campaign received 693 contributions this quarter, in which nearly 50 percent of the donations made were lees than $100 and 60 percent were less than $200. At this rate, the campaign is projected to pass its goal of raising $1,000,000 by the end of the year.

“I’m so grateful for all of our supporters who believe in this campaign to deliver results for Arizonans,” said Vice Mayor Ansari. “Together, we’re building a people-powered campaign to fight for bold climate action, jobs with better wages, housing solutions, and so much more. This is what community power looks like, and we’re truly just getting started.”

We won!

It’s hard to put my feelings into words. I’m elated, of course — but more than that, I’m honored, I’m inspired, and I’m deeply grateful.

This historic victory belongs to all of us. It belongs to everyone in our Phoenix and Glendale community who believed in a progressive future and went to work for it.

This victory is the product of more than 165,000 doors knocked in the pouring rain and the blistering heat. It’s the result of over 25,000 phone calls, and nearly $2 million contributed by folks from every walk of life.

We won this primary election without a dime of corporate PAC money. We ran a campaign on progressive policies and real results. And we’re just getting started.

Now, we turn our attention to November. Turning out the vote here in Maricopa County is on the critical path to victory — and we’ve got our work cut out. Can I count on you to join us in this next chapter?
